A 14-year old put an 18.25 on the board 🔥
Émie Padois of France dropped the first 10 of the event yesterday in Junior Round 3, backed it with an 8.25, and walked away with 18.25. Highest heat total anyone has posted all week, across every division.
"I just tried to surf with the rhythm of the waves and enjoy my heats," she said. Just 14 years old. Casual, and cool as cucumber..
She takes home the Troféu Nota 10, new this year, named for Isabela Nogueira.
Isabela scored the first perfect 10 in Wahine history back in 2022 in the Masters.
She was the first Brazilian champion in 1988, and sadly passed away in March at 56.
The whole 2026 edition carries her memory.
First 10 of the trophy's existence went to a teenager from France who never got to meet her…
